One of my favorite things about living in New York City is riding around in the city subway, which connects the boroughs: Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx, the only way to get around fast in this busy, trendy city. I live in Brooklyn and take the subway often to get around so I see a lot in these city train carts and some of it can be pretty amazing. This weekend was one of those amazing times to travel around the city by subway because it brings all walks of life. Different people trying to get around when the city awakens from a deep winter freeze. Spring is here and summer is around the corner, this can bring a whole lot of train talent in and around the subway station all over New York City. I was riding the Q train and these debonair gentlemen start singing the most amazing harmony that I ever heard. I couldn’t help but scramble my phone out of my bag to capture these short video clips of the men performing live inside the Q train subway cart. Check them out here:
I literally can’t stop watching and listening to these men! This song I am not sure if these men made it up or if it is something that was popular in the 1950s or 1960s, either way, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy every time I hear it. This isn’t the first time I had the pleasure of witnessing pure, raw talent live on the train but these men definitely have that special something that really can brighten a dark, dirty New York subway cart.
Look out for these men riding the New York City subway, enjoy the harmony, and don’t forget to donate a few dollars to their musical cause. They will tip their hat and smile while collecting a few dollars for their short live train performance. I always like to support people that have that drive and hassle.
