Happy Independence Day! We are so lucky to be living in America and today is the day to remember those freedoms and the brave men and women who fought for those freedoms. It is a time to remember the soldiers still fighting today and is away from their families and friends.
We are so lucky to be in a country that respects and enforces the freedoms of religion and the freedom to preach the word of Christ without prosecution. In many other countries, people are being punished and even killed for having a bible or the mere mention of their devotion and love for Jesus.
Let’s take today to reflect on those freedoms and scriptures that remind us of that while spending time with friends and family:
“Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
“If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
John 8:36 ASV
“For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only use not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
“For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.”
“And I shall walk at liberty; For I have sought thy precepts.”
Have a happy and safe July 4th! God bless America and you all!
