3 A.M. Poem

It’s 3 a.m. and I’m wide awake.

Somebody give me an ambien for goodness sake!

Maybe I will drift off to sleep if I think of a nice, peaceful lake.

All these thoughts racing in my mind and in my head.

The reason for all of this tossing and turning in the bed.

All these thoughts need to be recorded, they must be said!

I’m really sick and tired of this so called “woke” culture.

The angry, hungry mob circling around like vultures.

Controlling what people are allowed to say, molding the youth like clay sculptures.

Rewarding what’s evil and prosecuting what’s good.

Everyone seems to be misunderstood.

Whining about nonsense instead of building up their neighborhoods.

TV is fake and the advertisements are indoctrination.

Trying their best to poison an entire generation.

Trying to destroy our society and civilization!

If you think prosecuting someone’s beliefs and speaking lies is ok to do.

Then you are a part of the problem and that is true.

I’m only trying to warn you because a know most of you have no clue.

Trampling on the rights of others and making people feel guilty of who they are.

Saying rude things to strangers on social media, how bizarre.

Something tells me a lot of these people in life didn’t get very far.

I refuse to apologize for my faith over fear.

I refuse to not give up even if has been a rough year.

It doesn’t matter what I’m going through their is still a reason to cheer.

I praise God everyday and thank Him for what I do have.

I praise God for my husband, with marriage a whole becomes to halves.

Our dream is one day have a farm with chickens, goats, and calves.

Be strong and don’t be afraid of the angry leftist mob.

They can’t do anything to harm you if you have faith in God.

In the Bible it says He will strike your enemies down with his mighty rod!

He said in the Bible that whoever longs for righteousness shall seek.

No, I’m not a religious fanatic or an extremist, but a proud Jesus freak.

The good news is one day the earth will belong to the meek.

Don’t let them scramble your brain.

Remember repeating the same actions and expecting a different result is the definition of insane!

Depression and negative thoughts met their match because there is always sunshine after the rain.

7 Ways to Stay Safe & Sane, During Coronavirus Scare

Do you feel like this world has gone completely crazy? Are you afraid of the coronavirus? Do you know how to tell the difference between FACTS and MYTHS, RATIONAL and IRRATIONAL thinking at a time like this? If you are unsure about things maybe I can clear that up for you, so you and your family/ friends/ neighbors can ALL stay safe, sane, and most of all HEALTHY.

stay safe cartoon

  1. Do not FEAR.

Being afraid of something like this will not make you feel any better or help you stay healthy. Fear actually does the opposite of keeping you safe and healthy it can cause your immune system to decline which can leave you a lot more vulnerable. This may seem scary to you especially with all the news reports and social media posts that tell you that you should be afraid. Always remember whatever happens you are NEVER in control God is and He will protect you. Just have FAITH and never FEAR.

‘Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. ‘ Isaiah 35:4

  1. Pray

Prayer is the most powerful act you can do especially at a time like this. Pray to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Through Him anything is possible. If you don’t believe me read the gospel of John in the Bible. This is the best way to get to know Jesus and to understand who God really is. Remember to pray for understanding and God will reveal wonders to you with faith and patience through the Holy Spirit. Pray for yourself, family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. You can literally pray for whoever you want whenever you want. God will hear you and answer plus give you strength during these difficult times.

‘Rejoice always; in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward. ‘ 1 Thessalonians 5:16,18

  1. Stay home if you feel SICK.

Like any other virus that is contagious, it is best to stay home and away from other people if you feel sick. Do not go to places that have crowds of people. Avoid people that may be more vulnerable like the elderly, people with preexisting health conditions, and small children. If you feel like you are sick don’t panic just get to a doctor so you can get the help that you need.

Is any among you sick? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. ‘ James 5:14-15

  1. Avoid CROWDED places.

Try not to put yourself in a closed, confined place with a lot of people. Depending on where you live in the world I’m sure most of these crowded places to avoid were closed by your city or state. Just in case try to avoid restaurants/ bars, schools, large office spaces, museums, parks, etc. Just use common sense here if there is a place with a lot of people try to not put yourself in that situation. Some people, unfortunately, do go out if they are sick or aren’t aware that they are sick so to stay SAFE and SANE just stay clear for now until things get better with this virus.

‘Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be affrighted at them: for Jehovah thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. ‘ Deuteronomy 31:6

  1. Avoid touching your face especially EYES, NOSE, and MOUTH.

Try to work on being conscious of where you put your hands and avoid touching your face with unwashed hands. In this busy world, we live in it is often hard to think about not touching your face with dirty hands that touched multiple surfaces. Instead of having your mind wonder try to be in the present moment and pay attention to where your hands may go. If you feel this is impossible for you to remember then wear gloves as protection when you go out to a public place.

‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous; But Jehovah delivereth him out of them all. ‘ Psalms 34:19

  1. Help others who are in NEED.

I know the thought of being around others right now might make you cringe especially if you’re a fearful germaphobe, however it is our duty as humans especially if you are a Christian to help others before you help yourself. If you are a healthy and able person check on your elderly neighbor next door. He/she might need some items from the grocery store. If you are fortunate enough to stay home from work with pay then someone might need a babysitter since most schools are closed for now. Pick up extra disinfectant and/or hand sanitizer and give it out to people that may need it. Don’t be afraid to help others this is the time to do it. God will be very pleased indeed.

‘give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again. ‘Luke 6:38

  1. Cover your NOSE & MOUTH, then WASH your HANDS.

More common sense stuff that you probably learned as a kid yet it is easy to forget. When you cough or sneeze cover your mouth with your arm or hands especially when around surfaces and/or people. Then remember to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20-30 seconds. Also, carry some antibacterial or hand sanitizer with you just in case soap and water aren’t accessible at the time. If you are in a part of the world that hand sanitizer is in shortage HERE is a way to make it at home.

‘The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; But the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. ‘ Proverbs 1:7

Just to make things perfectly CLEAR I’m not a doctor, nurse, nor do I work in the medical field. This is just my opinion on ways to stay SAFE and SANE in this coronavirus epidemic while incorporating some much-needed help from God through His word. Remember you can be a regular person like ME and still know how to exercise common sense mixed in with faith and prayer.

Do Not Fear

Do not fear because God is with thee,

It is harder to explain to the blind that fail to see.

Fear is the ultimate weapon of Satan the enemy!

Bravery is contagious and so is a peaceful mind,

Others will seek godly strength but will lack to find.

Human strength is useless because Jesus alone can get you out of any bind.

Sickness and chaos will always be a part of this earth.

We can conquer death only with a spiritual rebirth.

Take on the power of God’s Holy Spirit with It’s mighty girth.

People fear more and more each and every day.

It’s harder to get through winter when it’s getting closer to May.

Stay safe in a world who encourages people to keep God at bay.

The only thing left to do is get on your knees and pray.

“fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭ASV‬‬

Take Courage

Being fearful isn’t a way to live this life.

Afraid of the world, death, being cut by a sharp knife.

Having courage is the right and true way to be.

One day everyone will worship and be free as each one takes a knee.

Waking up everyday is a battle.

My Lord, my God how he seeks us like sheep in His cattle.

Something told me to write down my thoughts get them out of my head.

This is essential to a well rested night in bed.

Psalms 31:24

Dream today for tomorrow,

Leave the past behind.

Don’t let the enemy instill sorrow,

Leave the past behind.

Let your imagination run wild,

While you leave the past behind;

Think as if you’re still a little, innocent child,

Still leaving the past behind.

Never let regrets or unfilled dreams get you down,

While you leave the past behind;

Hold your head high and wear that crown,

Leave the past behind.

Your future is bright but lives in the present,

Always leaving the past behind!

I’m guilty of dwelling on the past and harping on unfilled dreams which fester into huge regrets! I hope this short poem inspires you to live your life and NEVER let your past get you down! We all have felt this way one time or another and if you haven’t yet then you will. Please share some encouraging words in the comments below.

“A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance; But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken”.  Proverbs 15:13

God bless you all!

Never Let the Lies Get You Down!

I have been in hiding not because I am ashamed or did anything wrong. It is because I let the lies of the enemy get to me! I let it get to my mind and my spirit which affected me negatively so I had to step away. I had to step away from my passion for spreading “the Word” and from not losing myself once again.

Most days were spent reading scriptures and sharing with others that it might help. I know when I am having a tough day and start feeling lost, angry, or depressed looking to Jesus for comfort NEVER let me down! The joy surrounds me and I know in time everything will be OK because God got this! I don’t get this but He does and I know that is TRUTH.

The enemy can try to but doubt and questions in my mind but it only makes me want to seek Him more. Get to know Jesus better not to hide or shy away from Him. I only shy away from people and that’s not the answer either. The answer is carrying my cross and spreading “the Word” to people through faith, understanding, and most importantly LOVE.

I’m breaking out of my fear and starting something NEW, fresh, and most of all something positive. The positivity of Jesus and the overwhelming joy He can bring to ANYONE’s life that puts their faith in Him.

This blog is OLD and I’m starting a NEW so stay tuned if you follow to my brand new re-vamped creation.

Thank you to all for your love and support through my blogging journey.

But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 ASV

Karaoke @ Coney Island Beach

Rain or shine, Coney Island Beach in Brooklyn has so many different fun events going on. The rides and attractions to the games and restaurants, with other specials events taking place at the boardwalk. My friend and up and coming artist/ performer, Mikael Brusio invited me to Karaoke on the boardwalk to check out all the talent. Despite the rainy weather I am glad that I came by to see all the talented artist, who just came out to entertain and have a good time.

First karaoke singer that I captured was Lily who performed “My Immortal” by Evanescence. Her performance illuminated the boardwalk and singing ability caught the crowd’s attention. The next performance that I captured was a fun amateur version of the 1970 hit ” O-o-h Child” by Five Stairsteps sung by a local Brooklyn woman. The crowd, including myself sung along encouraging the karaoke performer on stage. Next up a soulful rendition of another 1970’s song by Joe Cocker, “You Are So Beautiful” performed by local Brooklyn man who goes by nickname “Danny”. Last performance that I captured and was waiting for before the sudden downpour was by Mikael Brusio, who sung “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. Brusio killed it on stage during his performance, which is no a surprise to anyone who heard him before. Mikael is no stranger to the stage, being an experienced musical performer and artist who has roots in Coney Island. He performs here with other talented artist and faithful karaoke enthusiasts on the boardwalk right in front of the Wonder Wheel at Coney Island Lunar Park.

Before the karaoke fun and rain started I got my chance to conquer a fear of mine, to ride the Wonder Wheel even though I am deathly afraid of heights. I walked over with friend, Mikael who treated me to the ride and supported me as my nerves kicked in. We got in the white, metal cart which was completely enclosed in (to my liking) as the Wonder Wheel started up. When the cart got higher and higher I felt my fears melt away while I started taking selfies of my experience.

The Wonder Wheel made two slow laps around as I got to see Coney Island from a view I have never experienced before. Even when the cart started swaying due to the rainy weather and high winds I kept my cool as best I could. After the ride was over I felt so good that I finally rode one of the oldest and most famous Brooklyn staples that my family experienced many times before.

Sunday Funday on Coney Island Beach with amazing talented people, good friends, and courageous acts of overcoming lifelong fears. A day that I will always cherish and many more summer memories to come. Please share an amazing act of courage or fear that you have conquered or wish to conquer this summer. I look forward to hearing your story.
