Midnight Rain

I’m listening to the midnight rain.

The sounds of comfort to dull away the pain.

Nothing will ever remain quit the same.

I’m listening to the sounds of thunder.

The rumbling noise feels like it’s coming from down under.

Lying here thinking, Wow such a great wonder!

I’m listening to the sounds of sirens and cars racing by.

Trying to control my mind from continuous thinking, all my thoughts on a high.

When my head is on a pillow all the questions of the day start with, Why? Then ends with a big sigh.

I’m listening to the words of encouragement and hope in my head.

Still laying awake not quit asleep yet next to hubby snoring in bed.

Insomnia is an unwelcomed visitor, what more is to be said.

I’m reliving all of my past regrets and shame.

No one I can turn to and no one to release me from the blame.

Boy, I hope your not thinking that this rhyming poem is lame.

I’m sinking into sleep now my dream has come true.

No sugar plum fairies dancing in my head just thoughts of my boo.

There’s no more to write, say, or do.

Good night all, peace and one love to you.

Patriotic Music about Jesus

If you are going to have company over this holiday weekend why not pick some uplifting patriotic songs with Jesus? Mix it in along with your other favorite songs on your playlist and see how different people may react. You may be surprised by how many people enjoy it and start singing along.

Here are some song suggestions:

  1. America the Beautiful
  2.  My Eyes Have Seen the Glory (Battle Hymn of the Republics)
  3. My Country Tis of Thee (America)
  4. God Bless to the USA
  5. God Bless America Again
  6. America
  7. A Patriotic Salute

Lets put God back into patriotism for America. Without God, we wouldn’t exist and we need to thank Him for all the freedoms that we have in this wonderful country of ours that many people died to protect and are still dying to get in.

‘Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ‘ John 15:13

God bless you all.
