Money: Give First, Save Second, and Live on the Rest

What is the most important THING in your life? I believe many people would answer this question differently. Some people may say “family, friends, health, the environment, animals, etc, while others may say money, money, and more money! How many of you when asking yourself this question automatic thought “GOD” without hesitation? If you did then you are RIGHT! Our creator God should be the most important thing in your life and everything else should come second and yes even the people you most love in the world.
If we start to put God first ALWAYS then everything else will follow. The one thing that many people seem to put first in this life is MONEY or MAMMON (in the bible). Jesus makes very clear in the Bible that this is not the way to get into His Father’s kingdom. See scriptures illustrating this below:

‘No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life? And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.’ Matthew 6:24-34

Money is to be used and not idolized or loved especially when it comes to Jesus! Jesus knows He is competing with money and Satan’s lies! Don’t let the love of money make you stumble into a life of sin whether you make a lot of money to spend it or save all your money because you are fearful of having none. These ways are both wrong according to the Word of God. Jesus would like us to make money to give and help others and to not worry about ourselves. Remember if you have faith in God then you trust Him to care for you just like he cares for all of the animals. We are WAY more important than the animals to God because we are made in His image. Why wouldn’t God then provide for us too?
If you are going through any struggles with money or anything else in your life remember to give it up to God and He will take care of the rest! It is nice to have money with no cost to your soul, but it is better to have eternal life with Jesus in His kingdom.

May God bless you all!

7 Ways on How to Cope with Sleepless Nights

If you are like me or most people in this world today you battle with sleepless nights on regular bases. I’m sure you have tried all the remedies with little or no luck, but have you ever just given your insomniac issues up to God? It’s funny how we search and try out solutions from ourselves or others instead of just asking God what to do. This use to be a major struggle for me and still is at times, however I have learned through reading the Bible and praying that we can give God our worries and let him figure it out. Amen!
God actually wants us to look to Him for guidance and He is more than happy to help us out with anything that we are struggling with ANYTHING. Isn’t that a huge weight and comfort to know this? It sure was for me, so now I am passing on the GOOD NEWS. Take a look at seven ways on how to cope with your sleepless nights:

1. Give every anxiety to Him in prayer.
‘If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you. ‘ John 15:7

2. Pray for others.
‘doing nothing through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting other better than himself; not looking each of you to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. ‘ Philippians 2:3-4

3. Commit scripture to memory.
‘For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline. ‘
2 Timothy 1:7

4. Think about ways you can help others within your community.
‘Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. ‘
Galatians 6:2

5. Praise God for His faithfulness.
‘Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father. Ye worship that which ye know not: we worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth. ‘
John 4:21-24

6. Read a soul lifting book like the Bible.

7. Give the coming day over to God.
‘fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.Isaiah 41:10

Bible Scriptures for Insomnia & Worry

Let me know if the method of faith, prayer, and patience helped you catch those extra Z’s. I would also like to hear your trials and tribulations when it comes to your “sleepless nights” and the methods that you use to try to get some nice restful sleep. Remember to always give it up to God first then He will guide you.

God bless you all.
